Work Conditioning

The program is focused on work return for the injured patient. The department can reproduce any work environment with the BTE simulator and general conditioning products to allow the patient to practice the activities his work return will require. The patient’s recovery level will determine when they are to proceed into a work conditioning segment of their rehabilitation.

Therapist will check job description; discuss with employee, and talk with employer to determine appropriate activities to facilitate work return. Testing can be done through functional capacity evaluation, disability screening, and work place evaluation to promote the program that gives the patient the best chance for work return in the conditioning program.

Work conditioning can last between two weeks to six months depending on severity and disability of the patient and the type work level they need to tolerate for work return.
