Post-Op treatments

Patient will be seen for post-op visits determined by the physician. Post-op visits will evaluate the need for therapy and the clinic where the patient would prefer to be treated. If the patient is referred to another center at their request protocols, prescription, and copy of surgery will be given to patient to take to the clinic of their choice.

If the patient decides to work with Carolina Spine for rehabilitation they will be initiated in the aquatic program for symptoms that have not decreased dramatically after surgery. A patient doing well will progress to the gym for review and establishment of home exercise program. The patient will indicate when they feel that can be independent at home with exercises and with therapist support this program will be developed. Most patients average 3-6 visits post-surgery.
